Exceptional Loan Officer and Veteran Supporter!
Mr. Bernie Kalmus did an excellent job walking me through the VA refinance process. Not only is he highly responsive, he is courteous and professional. Everything Bernie said during our initial phone call was 100% accurate including the rate and fees. There were no surprises or stress working with Bernie. Bernie let us know exactly what we needed up front to obtain our mortgage. He always let us know when he received our documents. If we had any questions, he had the answers the same day. Most of the time email worked fine, but it was nice to know that he was always available by phone if we felt we needed to talk to him personally for clarification, which we did a couple of times. Honestly, of the five mortgages we've had over the years, this was by far the best and easiest process and that was due, in a large part, to Bernie for his customer service, communication and availability. If we were in the market for another loan, Bernie would be our first stop.
