Jason Ellett is hands down the absolute most professional, competent, friendly, dedicated, prompt, and overall impressive person I have ever worked with in the loan industry!!! If you would like to know why, read my story below: Between purchases and refis I have been through the mortgage shopping experience six times, (four of which resulted in closing). I have had such bad experiences in the past that going into our current home purchase I just prepared myself by bracing for the pain… But thanks to Jason, the pain never came! I decided this time that I would take my time and shop around, not just looking for the best deal, but more importantly looking for the most compotent and trustworthy individual I could find to handle my case. After submitting a request through lending tree I sifted through dozens of phone calls, voice mails and emails. At the same time, I was also getting a quote from my current lender at the time, plus a previous broker I had used and another broker I had personally met while house hunting. I could tell just from the voicemail Jason left me that he was a genuine and competent person, so decided reach out to him for an estimate. At this time I was working actively with about six or seven other brokers/lenders on getting specific quotes. I went back and forth a bit asking about different scenarios. Although the numbers they were giving me were all fairly comparable, something stood out about the estimates from Finance of America, namely, Jason Ellett. Jason replied faster than anyone else, more thoroughly than anyone else, and more competently and professionally than anyone else. I was blown away at how responsive he was. Even if he wasn’t able to get me the information I needed immediately, he would immediately reply and tell me when he get could get me the info and then when he did, it was always sooner than expected. Nobody does that! I have never worked with someone so responsive in any industry! Very soon after this became apparent, I blew off the other brokers/lenders and began working exclusively with Jason. There was a time in the past when my whole family ended being homeless for two weeks, living in a hotel with all of our belongings in storage for no other reason than the carelessness and incompetence of a mortgage lender. This is why, When I realized what kind of person Jason was and how much he cared about his job and how much I could trust him to do a good job there was no question about it. My current lender at the time was actually offering me a lower rate and lower origination fee but to me the assurance of working with someone I could trust was worth more than the money. I remembered the day that we found out we were clear to close (which was way ahead of schedule!) thinking “what, really? where is all the tension and drama? I thought this was supposed to me so much more difficult!”. We were so far ahead of schedule that I was even able to change my down payment amount and run everything through underwriting all over again and still be clear to close again ahead of schedule! My wife and I were laughing and crying over how easy everything went. Jason, I know you have no idea about any of this backstory and you were just doing your job, but I want you to know that how well you do your job has restored my faith in this industry and even a little bit in humanity. The words 'thank you' honestly fall short to express the happiness and gratitude my wife and I are feeling!

Not only was Jason local, but his voicemail was so kind and welcoming I had no choice but to call him. He made the financing process so seamless. His assistant, Sharon was absolutely delightful to talk to. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient, as a matter of fact, they both are. First Time Home Buyer in Marysville

This was my first home-buying experience and Jason helped me thru an intimidating stack of paperwork and is always ready, responsive and patient to explain any aspect of the home-buying process. Jason was also great at being creative and thinking outside the box to get around potential hurdles or difficulties. Very Helpful
