There should be one person assisting your loan from start to finish. I worked with one person initially, then I received emails from several different people and calls from others. Much of the documentation was done online, but I was never told how to access the secure documents and had to call to get the instructions. I had multiple requests for documents, after they were already uploaded. I already had an existing mortgage with PennyMac, so I could not understand why the process was so long.

PennyMac is still showing my previous loan as unfunded. However, I received an email saying that the loan was funded. I called at least 4 times trying to confirm that the previous loan was going to be paid off. The loan was closed 1/8/20 and it's 1/20/20 and it still hasn't been paid off. PennyMac is showing me as being delinquent on my loan. Now, I'm told that the funding manager and the title manager are trying to straighten out an issue with the wrong date being used on the title. HELP!

Communication with the loan officer was excellent and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful through the initial process approval process. Once things were passed off to the MAC team, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with someone who knew what was going on and get questions answered. Several times requested changes did not get made and I had to call multiple times to verify that they understood what to do and had done what I requested.
